Ms. Exton oversees key risk functions related to DAI Asset Management’s investment and portfolio management processes. She joined DAI-AM in 2021, having served on the External Investment Committee of one of MicroVest’s flagship funds for several years.
Prior to joining DAI-AM, Ms. Exton was the Managing Partner of Exton & Partners Risk, Governance and Analytics, a consultancy firm focused on building technical expertise with firms active in the area of impact investing. Before starting her own consulting firm, Ms. Exton was Opportunity International Network’s first Chief Risk Officer, where she had oversight of partner microfinance institutions on a global basis. She also worked for Moody’s Investors Service, Merrill Lynch and JP Morgan Chase in the financial institutions area. Ms. Exton is also a Rotarian serving in several roles, including the Rotary International Finance Committee.
Ms. Exton received a BA in History and Political Science with a minor in Economics from Wellesley College. She received her MA in International Relations and International Economics from John Hopkins’ School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). Ms. Exton also received a Certificate of Political Studies from the Institut d’Études Politiques in Paris, as well as a Certificate from the Harvard Business School-Accion program on Strategic Leadership for Financial Inclusion. Ms. Exton is fluent in English & Portuguese and has good fluency in Spanish and French.
